A lucky day!
Some days we just get plain lucky. It helps that we always have our
cameras with us. Consider how this day last week went. We went to Five
Mile Mountain in southern Utah. We turned off the highway (Hwy 89) at
the power sub-station (MP35) and headed south. We were just driving the back
roads watching for things to get pictures of. We got into an area that
had a small herd of deer. Grabbing our cameras and having the windows
of the truck down, we were able to get some great pictures of the deer.
What we did not expect to see was a couple of "forkies" doing battle!
To see them "fighting" was a great surprise and excitement for us. We
had never seen two bucks lock antlers and fight. To be lucky enough to
have our camers with us and ready made this a special day for us.
Another thing that made this day so good
was the fact that the deer were not bothered by us being so close and
taking pictures. I guess they knew we only want to take their pictures
and not put them on the dinner table.
We hope you enjoy the pictures as much
as we enjoyed taking them.
