Fossils 2

Another place to go to find
some nice fossils. We only took pictures this time and left everything
behind for others to find. Any high clearance vehicle should be able to
navigate to this area. Head south on Hwy 67 from Jacobs lake to 36°
27.258' N & 112° 07.947' W and turn west onto FR230. Watch
close or you may go flying right past this road. Follow it to FR462. Go
right (north) to the turn for Franks Lake at 36° 29.363' N &
112° 10.105' W. Take this road to 36° 29.611' N & 112° 10.071'
W. We stopped here and stayed with 100 feet of the road. We only spent
about 15 minutes in this spot.
As we were heading on back to Franks
Lake we saw a bobcat cross the road in front of us. We were too slow to
get the camera and missed getting a picture of the cat.
The truth about this location is, once
you turn on the road to Franks Lake you need to watch on both side of
the road. We only gave coordinates for where we actually stopped and got
out to get some pictures.
