Houserock Ruins and Mine

N36° 47.028' & W112° 03.646'

These ruins are located about 1 mile north of the condor viewing area on Houserock Valley Rock. There is an old mine entrance located on the property, but there is NO WAY I would try to enter it. From the looks of the entrance it has started to collapse around the main supports. The rest of the property looks like someone may be taking care of it. The sheds don't have much in them, but they are old and show their ages. I would avoid entering any of the buildings for safety reasons. There are some interesting thing to see, such as the front loading ore cart and the date inscribed in the foundation of the one shed, August 10, 1945.

Be careful and enjoy the area.
