In the last 6 to 8 weeks, I (John) have lost function of my legs. I had been able to hike about 1/2 mile. Now I cannot even walk 50 feet without the use of a cane! It appears that I have "ALS" and it is progressing quite rapidly! Just recently while sitting at the computer I would fall asleep (common symptom) and fall out of my chair. Once that happened I was stuck on the floor until someone with enough strength came along and helped me get up. I went from walking without a cane to needing 2 canes in just 2 weeks. Hiking is now out of the question!
Our web hosting contract expires in March and we will renew for another 3 years. If anyone (is local and enjoys rockhounding) and is interested in taking over the site and adding to it please contact us. We will work with you to keep the site growing. We are planning on moving to Tucson where our daughter and her family lives. This will be around the first of February. .
