North Kaibab Cabin #1770

N 36° 30.248' W112° 08.496'

We have been to this little cabin several times. We have seen deer, rabbits (cottontails), cardinals, bluebirds, hawks, woodpeckers and other wildlife in this area. It is located at the start of the first large mountain meadow along highway 67. The meadow appears and the little road #9109 C is just a short distance away at the given coordinates.

When you turn onto the little road - two dirt tracks - look along the drive to the treeline. You will see your destination. It is a quiet and beautiful area to get away from the hustle and bustle of all of life's woes.

We have found out this cabin is the Pleasant Valley historic cabin. There are plans to renovate it so it can be rented per night, with a proposed fee of $140. per night, and become part of the Arizona "Rooms with a View" Program. It doesn't look like it has been renovated yet and is not ready, like they thought, in the spring of 2015.

So, enjoy our pictures and if you are close to this site, stop and check it out for yourself.
