Lonely Graves

Here are 2 graves that are located out in the middle of nowhere. They are on BLM land and we doubt they have very many people stop by to pay their respects to them.

All we know are their names, Roy Frank and Moon Mullins, and that they died in 1918. They were Indian Scouts for the Army.

How or why they died, we don't have a clue, but they were buried here in what is now known as Houserock Valley.

To get to this spot, turn off Highway 89a onto BLM 1065 at mile mark 565.8. This road looks like it goes through someone's front yard, but it does Not. This road is better known as Houserock Valley Road. When you cross the cattleguard there is a small parking area on the left next to the fence. The fence is the boundary line for the BLM property. It is just a short walk over to visit Roy & Moon.

The parking coordinates are N36° 43.598' W112° 02.800'.
